Jessica Jungbauer is a journalist, author and photographer with stints at DER SPIEGEL in Washington, D.C., and DIE ZEIT in Berlin. For over 10 years, she has specialized in articles and photography on the topics of food and agriculture, always with an eye toward a sustainable future.

Bernd Jungbauer is a photographer with a Ph.D. in quantum physics. His work has taken him from Australia to Brazil. With a shared passion for travel and a deep curiosity about life, they’ve now combined their skills to create compelling narratives about people and places around the world.

Whether tracing Albania’s farm-to-table movement, visiting a women-run community restaurant as a pioneering project in Bhutan or foraging wild ingredients off the coast of Chile with the chef of one of the world’s most sustainable restaurants – they showcase local solutions to address global challenges such as the climate crisis, biodiversity loss and social inequality in the context of the future of food.

In the summer of 2022, after seven years in Berlin, they set off from Germany in their oldtimer VW LT camper and dachshund mix, Momo – and have now fully embraced a life on the road. Their adventures often take them off the beaten path where they often spend weeks or even months to explore a country and research their stories – not just to inform, but also to inspire.
